Feel Good Folder

Campers each decorate a folder that they fill throughout the summer and take home at the end of the summer.

Recommended Location

Bunk

Directions

Campers each decorate their own folder called a "Feel Good Folder" with markers, stickers, and other art supplies. Throughout the summer, this is a place where they can store things that make them feel happy (Shabbat-o-grams, Omanut projects, Happy Lists, notes from a bunk compliment box, letters from home/friends, etc.). Counselors can store all of the Feel Good Folders together in a safe place (I suggest this with younger campers) or campers can choose to hold on to the folder in their own personal space. At the end of the summer, campers will take home their own folder and can look back at it during the school year when they miss camp/are sad and want to feel good.

Materials

Paper folder for each camper, markers, stickers, etc.

Helpful Tips

LOTS of stickers!!! Makes it more fun! Play music while decorating folders. I recommend doing this activity in the bunk because it makes it feel a bit more meaningful.
