middle/high school stereotype fashion show

You’ll match up two to three campers together and give them a stereotype that you might find in middle or high school (goth, hippie, sports, girly girl, country club girl, geek), showing that we all might identify with one stereotype or two more than another, but we can all still be friends.

Recommended Location

Indoor

Directions

You’ll match up two to three campers together and give them a stereotype that you might find in middle or high school (goth, hippie, sports, girly girl, country club girl, geek). You tell them to dress up as much as they can for that stereotype and then get together the entire group and you’ll put on music and they will have to walk down the runway acting like their stereotype. It works well if you put together people who might not necessarily be in the same friend group but they have to bond by getting dressed up together and putting on make up together that shows their stereotype. I’d say give like 15 minutes for them to get in costume and then the runway probably takes another 15 minutes Campers have to dress as best as they can as their stereotype, they have to include everyone in their group. give the campers time after to take pictures in their costumes. Staff can give a speech on camp bonding us with people we might not necessarily be close with in the real world and showing that we all might identify with one stereotype or two more than another, but we can all still be friends.

Materials

music, benches set up to form a runway with other campers sitting along the sides to cheer then on, someone can have a camera to take pictures when walking down the runway

Helpful Tips

this works really well for banot if that wasn’t clear and works well if you need to bond bunks or groups together. tell the girls to really get into their character and try and make each other laugh or act things out with each other and to get as dressed up as possible and make this fun and silly
