Parent Trap: Jewish Matchmaking

Based on the Parent Trap’s plot line of setting two people back up together, this petzah idea will set two people up in camp through the campers as Jewish matchmakers. Counselors should find sets of people who are comfortable being fake “set up” by campers. Campers will be split up into groups and each group will have a couple to set up. They will be given materials to write fabricated love letters, rose pathways, songs to serenade, etc. Then they will find one person in the couple and give them the love letter that says it’s from the other person and vice versa.

Materials:

- collect flowers or any romantic things

Find people who are comfortable being fake paired up with each other

split campers into groups that are given couples to set up

Have them write fake love letters from the other person in the couple

Check love letters to make sure they are matim.

Have them find the people in the pair and give them letters/ serenade them in song/ throw flowers at their feet, etc.
