Shouting Charades

Twist on normal charades where you have to explain what you are doing rather than doing it!

Educational Goal/Jewish Value

Learning how to use your words even when it can be difficult to do so

Recommended Location

Anywhere

Directions

Just like normal charades, fill a hat/bag with celebrities, people from camp, movies, music - anything! Then have one camper pick from the bag and then tie their hands behind their back. Then, instead of acting it out to get everyone to guess the word, they have to explain how they would act it out if they could use their hands.

Materials

Paper, pens, bag or hat, rope or bandana to tie hands together behind their back

Helpful Tips

Example: If the word was "Harry Potter" I could say "I am holding up two fingers, I am putting my hands together and clapping but my hands are only opening on one side, I am drawing a lightning bolt on my forehead"
