Directions
Give each chanich a small object, a marker, and a piece of paper. This could be a penny, a Hershey kiss, a marker, etc. (You can choose to give everyone the same object or different objects.) Create boundaries within camp and have each camper hide their object within the boundaries. While they are still at the site of their hidden object, have them draw a map of where their hidden object is. After 5 minutes, have campers return to the original location. Crumple up the maps into balls. Throw them into the circle and each kid picks up a paper ball that was not originally theirs (if they pick up their own map, trade with another camper). Use the map to find the hidden object, then re-hide it in a new location. Add to the map to show where the object has been moved to. Return to the whole group and repeat the process of crumpling the maps, trading, finding objects, re-hiding objects, and editing maps 1-2 more times. When campers return at the end, they can enjoy the treasure they found and talk about the most creative hiding places that they or their friends created.
